What we love
The Oppenheimer family take conservation delightfully seriously and protect every inch and every animal in this enormous expanse, which by the way, is the largest private reserve in all of South Africa.
Setting the scene
Situated amid the Korranaberg Mountains, the two separate accommodations overlook the vast terrain of baron and brown wilderness that is beautifully untouched where the wild roam free and nature takes its combination of glorious courses.
The Motse (meaning village) is the bigger of the two properties and contains 9 suites while Tarkuni that is the Oppenheimer's personal home has just 5. The suites are characterful and tribal, typically understated yet maintaining a luxurious and cosy atmosphere. Only 30 people at one time may stay on the resort which given the huge size of the reserve ensures no battling for position with others ensuring wonderful exclusivity.
