What we love
“The Santorini sunset is world famous – and there’s nowhere better to take it in than the soaring terraces or glistening infinity pool at Grace Santorini. We loved being high up in the sky overlooking the sea, and retreating to our soothing room for private spa treatments.”
Setting the scene
A stylish boutique hotel high up on the cliffs of north west Santorini, Grace is a mellow sanctuary with panoramic views over the Aegean Sea. Simplicity is paramount – with white the dominant shade and clean lines contributing to a crisp aesthetic. Privacy is easy to find: many of the rooms and suites have private terraces and pools, and the whole place has a low-key, tranquil vibe.
The Deluxe Rooms all have views out to sea, while Suites generally offer more space and private pools. Much has been written about ‘The Villa’, Grace Santorini’s most luxurious option – and one of the hottest hotel rooms on the island. The Villa can be configured with one or two bedrooms, and has its own spa with hammam, Jacuzzi and treatment room, making it a wonderful honeymoon choice. You’ll also have a well-stocked wine cellar and kitchen at your disposal, as well as a media suite and decadent outdoor area with pool and fire place – lovely on chilly evenings; so don’t be surprised if you never want to leave!
Dining at Grace is a romantic, memorable affair. The candle-lit tables are spread out and set into little inlets on the balcony, giving you plenty of privacy and revealing beautiful views over the coast and star-filled sky. Charismatic chef Spiros Agious creates tasty and individual Mediterranean fusion dishes making use of the freshest seasonal ingredients, and the service is attentive but never obtrusive. Cocktails on the terrace as the sun goes down are simply a must.
Though there’s plenty of adventure to be found on Santorini, your time at Grace will be much more about relaxation. The inviting infinity pool drops to the cliffs and deep blue sea, while a workout in the gym is made all the more enjoyable by large windows revealing views over the caldera. If slowing down is higher on your priority list, you can choose from a long list of rejuvenating spa treatments to be enjoyed either in the spa room or in the privacy of your suite. When you’re suitably relaxed and you feel like exploring, the team at Grace will be happy to assist with anything from restaurant reservations and sightseeing tours to horse riding, trekking and helicopter flights.
Though children are welcome at Grace Santorini, there are no specific children’s facilities, so it isn't top of our list when it comes to recommendations for families.
