Setting the scene
We're sure that the previous owners, the Pisani family in 1475 and latterly Andrea Gritti in the 16th century would be delighted to know that the calibre of visitor is very much in keeping with their labours of love that can be seen and appreciated in every painting, mirror, chandelier that still remains today in the resplendent walls of this former Palace.
Having undergone a multi million euro renovation last year the number of rooms have been reduced from 91 to 82 - ensuring that the hotel's primary charm - its intimacy, has been enhanced. All enjoy splendid marble bathrooms and high ceilings, mostly frescoed, with impressive ceiling to floor windows framing the incredible views beyond. The 10 unique suites are inspired after famous past guests and will transport you back to a majestic bygone era in the most impressive of settings. Nowhere more so than their 2 storey Redentore Suite, whose one-of-a-kind rooftop terrace complete with whirl pool affords the best views in Venice of the Grand Canal, the Giudecca island and southern lagoon.
