Where to start?! The Ritz-Carlton Abama is a blissfully wonderful place to stay! The views of the ocean are stunning, the restaurants are incredible, the staff are fantastic and the golf course is pristine.
Setting the scene
With views ranging from a pristine golf course, scenic expanse and ocean beauty, The Ritz Carlton Abama really is a special place to be. Choose to do nothing or everything in this diverse yet ultra luxurious resort suitable for all kinds of discerning holiday maker.
The Citadel is the main hotel building of the Abama resort. It provides comfortable, sumptuous rooms in the heart of the resort that offer views of the gorgeous gardens, the ocean, or the golf course. Although if you prefer something more private you can choose to stay in one of the villas on the resort, all of which are more secluded and include their own sparkling pools.
The choice of cuisine is astounding, with 9 fantastic world renowned restaurants to choose from, and 2 of these have Michelin stars! The M.B is the utterly decadent 'home' of the renowned Basque chef, Martin Berasetgui, who uses locally sourced produce for his gourmet Basque inspired menus. If you prefer something different then try the stylish Kabuki, which offers Japanese cuisine fused with Western culinary techniques. The restaurants offer an impressive and interesting wine list, with many offering locally produced wines alongside international favourites. There really is something for everyone, for all dietary requirements and for fussy kids too!
One of the best aspects of your stay at the Ritz Carlton Abama is the sheer multitude of daily activities available. Fancy a spa treatment? The Five Pillars Spa is an indulgent experience tailor-made to suit your personal requirements and offers an array of soothing indulgence. The championship golf course has views of the ocean from almost every angle and its carpet like fairways provide a challenge to all levels of player. There are a number of swimming pools, some child friendly and some adult only, further displaying the hotels desire to welcome all types of guest.
There is a fantastic complimentary on-site club for kids aged 4 - 12 years. The Ritz Kids works in partnership with the awesome Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society and offers a plethora of amazing experiences, including theatre, wildlife sessions, arts and crafts and so on. For the older ones there are teen based activities too that are enhanced during the peak holiday periods.
