Setting the scene
Situated on Praslin's western coast and spanning three different beaches, the Constance Lemuria resort is one of Seychelles' original luxury properties. The resort features 96 suites and 9 private villas, and is also home to the country's only 18-hole championship golf course.
Thatched junior suites comprise the main accommodation with eighty eight of them tucked away between two magical beaches. The eight senior suites are enormous and all feature LCD TVs, entertainment systems, large terraces and shaded loungers. For the ultimate in privacy and luxury opt for the 2-bed pool villas facing Grand Anse Kerlan beach with a Villa Master on hand to attend to every need or go all out for the Presidential villa which has three bedrooms and its own section of beach.
With 5 bars and 3 restaurants Constance Lemuria offers a broad range of choice when it comes to the all important holiday tasks of eating and drinking in style. Dress code is in place for all venues meaning no bikinis or sleeveless tops which imposes a smart casual ambience. Legend Restaurant is totally deserving of its name being perched in the treetops with magnificent views over the Indian Ocean themed evenings are held here and it is a gorgeous place for a relaxed buffet breakfast. Seahorse restaurant overlooks the golf course and is the island's top dining option with a famed Head Sommelier. At the beach bar freshly caught seafood is brought straight ashore and grilled for lunch with traditional Creole spices and it is also a fabulous place for a sun-downer at sunset with its breath taking views.Chefs are more than happy to prepare delicious picnics for special days out or enjoying on one of the private dining platforms overlooking the sea.
This hotel is a haven for lovers of water sport with dozens of pedalo's, sail boats of all sizes, kayaks, wind surfers and body boards to play on in the warm waters. Further out guests can go deep-sea fishing or scuba dive. There is a PADI diving school for any beginners who don't want to miss out on the staggering lovely world under the waves. Golf lovers are quite literally in seventh heaven with the immaculate championship course but non golfers too enjoy a drink at the 18th hole which has the most spectacular outlook of any on earth. The U Spa uses Shiseido brand products and has all the treatments needed to detox revive and soothe with the option to buy gift vouchers for loved ones as a lovely treat. Honeymooners get extra specially well looked after here with fresh flowers daily in their rooms, romantic candle-lit dinners and baths and a range of surprise excursions to delight and impress newly-weds.
Little eco-warriors will be in paradise at the Turtle Club where they will learn all about how to promote sustainability and look after the natural world - available for kids aged 4 to 11 and open from 9am to 9pm. There are lots of different activities from making pizza to arts and crafts and computing also on the programme and a children's menu and a firm focus on health and safety.
Connections from the UK are via Mahe International Airport. Transfers to Praslin can be made by domestic charter or helicopter and takes around 15 minutes. The hotel is located just a short 10 minutes drive from Praslin airport.
