What we love
That this modern, sophisticated hotel with every comfort and luxury is situated so close to the ancient city walls of Marrakesh. The pristine order of the hotel is in contrast with the busy laneways, souks, colours and crowds of the city making it the perfect sanctuary to retreat to.
Setting the scene
Marrakesh is an ancient city that assaults the senses, the exotic spice aromas, the unusual sounds of the calls to prayer, the trademark earthen colours of the walls and the feel of the sun on your face. As much as the city invites you to explore, the Four Seasons Marrakesh invites you to indulge, relax and be pampered, conveniently close to the cities attractions but enough distance to feel at peace after the city's noise and activity.
The main hotel building gives the choice of 4 room types, each with a private balcony and views varying from the hotel gardens and courtyards and the Menara Gardens adjacent to the hotel to the majestic Atlas Mountains. A selection of suites and villas are spread through the gardens each with its own terrace to soak up the sun. These larger rooms give the option of 2 bedroom accommodation. All rooms are decorated in traditional bright Moroccan colours with contrasting whites and creams giving a modern look.
The 3 restaurants at the Four Seasons give you ample choice of menu and location, as well as whether to dine inside or alfresco. Arancino specialises in Italian cuisine whilst Solano is more diverse in its scope of international and Moroccan offerings. The more casual, pool side Azzera Grill serves up a selection of meat and fish dishes alongside sandwiches and snacks every afternoon. The 2 lounges, Inara Bar and Zest are the perfect places to partake in the Moroccan favourite, mint tea, light meal or evening cocktail. Zest's rooftop location gives it fantastic views of the Atlas Mountains and Menara Gardens making it ideal for a sunset drink.
The adult only pool is designed for relaxation and calm with sun loungers and a bar whilst the family pool gives space for children to enjoy the sun and let off steam. There is a fully equipped fitness centre and a range of classes (at additional cost) to choose from, the twice weekly yoga classes by the pool are very popular and for good reason! The large spa caters for children, teens and adults and boasts a full menu of massages and beauty treatments as well as traditional Moroccan rituals for relaxation and cleansing. The Maarifa Cultural Centre runs workshops to learn more about local customs and traditions such as Arabic calligraphy, the making of argan oils and the mint tea rituals that appear everywhere in Marrakesh! There is a complimentary transfer service into Marrakesh throughout the day and guided tours of specific areas or buildings can be arranged through the hotel concierge. The concierge can also organise activities such as climbing, quad biking and hot air balloon rides
The resort welcomes families and adds many touches to make sure children feel as welcome as adults. The Kids for All Seasons program includes active and cultural activities to entertain and educate children aged 4-12. Teenagers have their own activity centre complete with pool table, fusball, table tennis and games consoles. Children's menus are available and a babysitting service can be arranged.
It takes around 15 minutes to drive from Marrakesh Airport to the hotel. It is possible to pick up rental cars at the airport, take a taxi or a pre booked transfer. Transfers can also be arranged from Casablanca Airport which is approximately 2 hours away by car.
