The piece of mind that comes with booking the Mandarin Oriental, this is a city break with elegance, sophistication and luxury. The hotel's enviable central location affords fantastic views that invite you to explore this exciting and vibrant city.
Setting the scene
A calming oasis of home comforts in the heart of New York City. You'll feel the tranquillity invite you through the doors as you leave the hustle and bustle of the sidewalk behind you. The Mandarin Oriental provides opportunity to retreat from the city as you indulge in fine food, rejuvenate in the spa and relax in the luxuriously appointed bedrooms.
As has become synonymous with the Mandarin Oriental name, the rooms here are furnished in a contemporary style with fresh whites, creams and golds and are designed for comfort. There are a range of rooms and suites to choose from featuring both king doubles and twins but all rooms benefit from the stunning floor to ceiling windows which bring New York City right to your room, with views of Central Park, the Hudson River or the glittering Manhattan skyline.
The great city views continue at the Asiate Restaurant, providing a fabulous backdrop to a romantic meal or family occasion. The cuisine is of mixed influences, creating a unique and imaginative menu, all carefully presented with matching wines from the impressive and visually commanding wall of wines. The wagyu beef is the popular choice here, as are the window tables, be sure to book early if you want to guarantee a window table. |For a lighter snack or for a pre dinner cocktail try the Lobby Lounge or the Mobar on the 35th floor. Popular with both locals and visitors, the Mobar brings a stylish nightlife to this corner of Central Park.
With the wonders of Manhattan on the doorstep you may be hard pushed for spare time at the hotel but when you need a break from touring the sights there is a fully equipped gym and lap pool to burn off any excess energy. If that sounds a bit energetic, try out the wonderful spa which boasts full menu of treatments to revitalise your body and mind after a day of sightseeing or hardcore New York shopping.
