Clement is the signature restaurant with its regionally-sourced fare served in intimate surroundings, you will also find the bar close by which makes cocktails to die for. The intriguingly named Gotham Lounge is a great place to have afternoon tea. And then there is Salon de Ning, the rooftop bar and terrace with its panoramic views of Manhatten from which you can map your day's travels or plan the next.
Aside from the pull of New York City, with its iconic venues and shopping galore, there is really no need to leave The Peninsular if you'd rather not. There is the award-winning Peninsular Spa, where you can peel off that stress and pollution and sink into the capable hands of one of the therapists whilst they pamper you with exotic treatments. Then you can take a relaxing dip in the glass-enclosed swimming pool, pop into Vu Hair and get your hair puffed and fluffed, then cop a sneaky snooze on the Sun Terrace.
