What we love
The staff are exceptional and full of interesting facts about the history of this iconic hotel.
Setting the scene
Set around a courtyard with beautiful garden features, the palm court rooms and the court yard rooms take up the majority. The corridors of the hotel are littered with pictures of the past that each tell a different story, many of the rich and famous have and continue to stay here. The main entrance of the hotel possesses intricate colonial design and its high, daunting ceilings provide a deserved sense of royalty.
The palm court and court yard rooms provide 84 of the 106 rooms, each featuring a small, yet set away dining and living area. Each one different and each one luxurious. Raffles offers a personal, 24 hour butler service for each one of its guests, simply triggered by a switch in the room. Any description of the suites almost wouldn't do them justice: old British style meets exemplary luxury of size and stature.
There are 9 eating and drinking options at Raffles, all of extreme quality and each possessing its own unique style. The Bar and Billiard room provides a buffet of brilliant variety. We believe it is compulsory to enjoy a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar and enjoy the finest afternoon tea going through into the Tiffin room. Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in the surroundings of the beautiful Courtyard. And witness the bar being raised at the Al Fresco restaurant. For the cocktail connoisseurs the Martini bar is a must; with 70+ Martini's on offer we do, however, suggest only sampling a selection in one sitting!
Full spa facilities are on offer here, and as you can imagine absolutely no expense has been spared. Momentarily escape the rush of the city and immerse yourself in relaxation and peace of mind & body. Boardrooms and Meeting suites are available for your corporate needs; practicality, service and privacy are at the forefront here. The East India rooms provide private banqueting options for bigger parties and for the romantic setting then head to the incredible Jubilee Hall. The Lawn is available for Al Fresco hosting of any size, and finally the magnificence of the Ballroom in the main building will blow you away. Locally, Raffles is located in central modern Singapore and by foot you will be able to reach most destinations of choice.
Bigger rooms are available with their separate bedroom and living areas making them ideal for families. The service of the concierge and the impeccably trained staff will ensure your children are looked after to your exact desires. The pool areas are family friendly and the central location of this hotel is a definite bonus.
Touch down at Singapore, Chiangi airport and it's a swift 20 minute drive to the hotel.
