What we love
An understated American style luxury retreat situated just beyond a colourful barrier reef.
Setting the scene
The spectacular geological formation of untamed hills and isolated beaches of Virgin Gorda play host to the timeless retreat of Little Dix Bay. With half a mile of golden sands softly lapped by gentle blue waters this is a Caribbean destination where fine dining, beautifully appointed accommodation, and delectable views are all on offer.
Nestled amid lush gardens and shaded footpaths along a half-mile crescent beach the 96 rooms and villas offer a stylish blend of island charm, comfort and convenience. Each accommodation demonstrates a warm, personal mood each with an array of five-star amenities. For utterly spacious luxury, the villas are situated above the resort complete with outdoor barbecue and dining pavilions, private pools and complete with gorgeous panoramic views and the utmost privacy.
There are three restaurants at the hotel; the open-air Pavilion serves up international cuisine and magnificent views of Little Dix Bay. For a more contemporary twist on cuisine, a modern Pan-Asian and European dishes are on the menu in the romantic Sugar Mill Restaurant. For something more laid back complete with a touch of feet in the sand dining, the Beach Grill has a relaxed ambience and beautiful ocean vistas and offers a lighter menu during the day.
For the more active guests there are watersports aplenty, including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing, snorkelling, motor boats, fitness centre, tennis and beginner tennis clinic and round robin tournaments, garden tours, hiking trails and beach drop at nearby beaches. A stay at Little Dix wouldn't be complete without an adventurous excursion around the island on a private yacht charter or glass bottom boat. For some well deserved pampering, a stay is not complete until you visit Sense, the in-house spa offering some of the world's finest beauty and recuperative treatments.
Little Dix's calm bay is the perfect place for kids to simply build a sand castle or play in the sea. Alternatively, this child-friendly resort also plays host to a superb Children's Grove where kids can take part in the 'Rose buds' programme - specifically designed to provide younger guests with enough to keep both mind and body busy whilst you enjoy the beach!
From Antigua, guests take a 75 minute to Tortola before being met by a resort representative and transported to a private catamaran launch for the 15-minute ride to the resort dock.
