What we love
Grenada is a place where untouched beauty translates into a delightful simple way of life, offering visitors and locals alike a lifestyle so pure and authentic that you feel instantly renewed.
Grenada is hard to beat as a Caribbean destination. With a wealth of soft-sand golden beaches surrounding lush and mountainous rainforest it is far less developed than many of the other Caribbean islands such as Barbados and Jamaica. This island has no high-rise developments or resorts giving it a wonderfully intimate feel – and even the most popular of beaches are never over run.
This so called ‘Spice Island’ - famous for being a major source of nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and cocoa boasts silky stretches of white sand beaches, sunken treasures adorned by corals and unspoilt landscapes undiscovered by crowds. The rolling, mountainous terrain is covered with fragrant spice trees and rare tropical flowers smells as good as it looks, with the seductive scents drifting through the colourful Saturday markets and dense inland forests.
Grenada also has a great deal to offer its visitors in terms of hiking, exploring, sailing, diving and much more, creating the perfect balance to allure both adventure seekers or beach dwellers.
The names of the villages, architecture, and dialect spoken throughout Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique bear reference to Grenada’s intriguing history of South American and European settlements. If you’re a traveller who likes to engage in the history of your destination as much as basking in the sun, then go and discover more about their journey from colonialism to democracy, which reveals a captivating course of events.
