Rosewood Mayakoba, Riviera Maya

130 Rooms & Suites

Setting the scene

Situated amongst lush jungle and shimmering ocean, this resort is the ultimate in Mexican luxury. From award winning golf courses to fine ocean dining and spa treatments on an island retreat, the Rosewood Mayakoba offers the chance to recharge your batteries surrounded by the stunning legacy of Mayan culture and civilisation.

Sweet dreams are guaranteed with suites brimming with natural harmony. Constructed from natural materials such as wood and limestone; guests can choose from suites with spacious bathrooms, rooftop sundecks, plunge pools and outdoor showers, many with serene ocean and lagoon views. If you fancy a butler service, that can be yours, or maybe you fancy quietly gazing up at the stars from your oversized outdoor terrace before relaxing in your sumptuous king sized bed. The choices are endless.

The hotel offers three uniquely delicious restaurants, as well as being close to some charming local eateries, offering a variety of food styles, from Mexican to European. For tasty Italian dishes and tempting pre-dinner cocktails, the resort's all-day restaurant, Casa Del Lago, offers a chic and contemporary dining option. Serving traditional Italian favourites such as pasta and risotto, room has to be left for the dessert menu, which offers delightful combinations of the best of the Italian and Mexican flavours - chocolate mousse with tropical fruit being one of the highlights. If the thought of leaving crystal clear waters behind is too much, then the beachside Punta Bonita venue is the perfect dining choice. Last but by no means least, the Agave Azul Sushi and Tequila Bar provides an overwhelming choice of over 100 labels of tequila, "the drink of the gods"; the perfect accompaniment to views across magnificent mangroves.

For keen golfers, the resort hosts a Greg Norman designed course. If you aren't easily distracted by gorgeous ocean and jungle views, then this 18-hole course offers a once in a lifetime golfing experience. You can also snorkel amongst the stunning coral reefs of the Riviera Maya and the golden sands lend themselves to beach football and volleyball.

For a more soul soothing experience, Rosewood's spa is set on a separate island and embraces the getting back to nature vibe present across the resort. With treatments made from local and natural ingredients, plus meditation decks and plunge pools, this serene spa will leave you feeling relaxed, balanced and recuperated.

The resort also provides dolphin spotting trips, deep-sea fishing and the chance to dip your toes into a historical Mayan sinkhole. For land lovers, the area is rich with Mayan ruins.

With a dedicated kids club, Rose Buds, the resort offers babysitting services, special spa treatments for children and a variety of fun activities. From eco tours to Mayan storytelling and pirate themed nights, Rosewood Mayakoba is a perfect choice for children - of all ages!
