What we love
With service fit for a King and accommodation to match - Eden Rock is quite simply mind blowing!
Setting the scene
Quite easily the coolest, chicest and finest boutique hotel on the planet, Eden Rock really is out of this world. As the name suggests, the hotel perches on a rocky peninsula surrounded by silky white beaches, pristine turquoise waters and living coral reef. The hotel screams character and allure, with impeccable attention to detail throughout - attracting not only a beautiful guest following but also a rainbow of multi-coloured fish to the base of the rock - perfect for snorkellers!
Rooms, suites and cottages are dotted around the rock, beach and gardens with each offering individuality and size. What's more, each accommodation is individually decorated in the unique style of the owner's artistic flair, ensuring the perfect mouth-watering option to suit all tastes and requirements. For those looking for a multi-generational retreat or a party pad with friends the Ultraluxe Villas have direct access to the glorious St Jean Beach are a must!
As one would expect on an island that is part of France, the hotel has two incredible dining options (let's face it - it is always a great indication of good food when the locals regularly dine there!) 'On the Rocks' is a delicious French haute cuisine restaurant perched delectably on the rocks, set with views over the coral reefs and beyond. This restaurant sums up St Barths perfectly - effortless island chic.
For those looking for something with even less effort, the Sand Bar is the only place on the island to offer fantastic pizza or local fish grilled or baked in the in-house wood fired oven or deliciously light salads with herbs home-grown from Eden Rock's greenhouse.
Where better to while away the hours on St Barths than on the beach or in the water? If lying on the powder white beach isn't your thing then you have an array of watersports at your disposal such as deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, jet-skiing, kite surfing and wind surfing just to name a few. For those looking for another view of the island then boat trips are the way to do it thanks to the resort's fleet of luxury boats where you can explore the nearby islands or enjoy a sunset cruise.
The hotel also has an excellent fitness centre as well as a spa for even more indulging.
The hotel also has a penchant for art of all styles and flairs - not only can you view, appreciate and buy the works of art scattered around the hotel but you can also take part in painting lessons with the Artist in Residence.
The hotel, beach and aforementioned watersports are all perfect for kids, but for those looking for child specific activities this hotel may not suit.
You can get to St Barths from Antigua via a short inter-island flight. Boat transfers can also be taken from the neighbouring St Martin.
