What we love
Jade Mountain is a true one-off. There is nowhere else like this in the world - the architecture is unique as all bedrooms are 'sweeping spaces' that 'flow' into the horizon without an outside wallground-breaking, but it works!
Setting the scene
The hotel sits sky-high above the beach resort of Anse Chastanet (Jade Mountain's sister hotel, and accessed easily by a complementary shuttle), and is a series of architecturally unique 'Sanctuaries' and Sky Suites (not bedrooms!) - each with a private infinity pool. Enjoy the beaches, activities, bars, restaurants and facilities at Anse Chastent, but part of the charm of Jade Mountain is it's lofty, private position, 'technology free' ethos and the feeling of being removed from every day life - a truly unique experience.
There are 24 Infinity Pool Sanctuaries and 5 Sky Suites. Each sanctuary is connected to the hillside via individual bridges - and these lead in to grand sweeping spaces where bedroom, living area and an extravagant private infinity pool glide into one another to form extraordinary 'platforms' floating out into nature. The outside wall is completely absent, but this really makes the most of the exceptional views of the St Lucia's Pitons World Heritage Site and the vast Caribbean horizon that you get from this height. The interiors are also as unique - wood furnishings, hints of Caribbean colour and the addition of private Jacuzzis in the Sky Suites.
The award-winning Jade Mountain Club, effectively located on the roof terrace, caters for residents only and offers fabulous food to match the views. (Especially recommended is the ice cream here!). You can, of course, enjoy the dining options at Anse Chastanet.
Jade Mountain's concierge will produce your tailor made day of activity and exploration, St Lucia is both romantic and energetic, so choose your theme day by day and this magnificent island and hotel will combine to deliver just that. Many guests choose to enjoy the facilities and views offered by the Sanctuary, but Anse Chastanet delivers the choice that you might expect at a beach-side resort.
There are no children's clubs or family programmes available here and the unique accommodation is more suited to couples. We do recommend other hotels within St Lucia as more child orientated.
Hewannorra International Airport is a 40 minute journey by car - but do note that this is a wonderful drive, with some beautiful sights on the way. St Lucia is a beautiful, authentic and unique Caribbean island.
