Setting the scene

Located halfway between Aix en Provence and the well-known Luberon Nature Park, Villa La Coste is set amongst the renowned Chateau La Coste Domain vineyard. Perched on a hillside with stunning views of the rolling Provencal countryside, the property comprises of 28 villa suites surrounded by lush gardens with private terraces, a spa, library, bar and restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining options. Art is a focal point of the domaine, with fantastic pieces from well-known artists dotted around the gardens. There are a range of activities on offer at the villa, as well as a double storey Spa, offering guests the ultimate place to relax and unwind in beautiful Provence.

Sleeping

There are 28 luxurious villa suites to choose from at Villa La Coste, some of which have their own private plunge pools. All villa suites have their own private terraces with stunning panoramic views over the Luberon and the Chateau La Coste Domain vineyard. The villa suites are all stylishly decorated in a modern design whilst maintaining their traditional Provencal roots. You’ll find spacious living areas, walk in dressing rooms and marble bathrooms with walk in showers and deep soaking tubs in each villa suite, giving guests a truly relaxing stay in a remarkable setting.

Eating

Villa La Coste’s restaurants pride themselves on serving freshly prepared produce sourced from local markets in Provence and from the onsite organic kitchen garden designed by French landscape architect Louis Benech. Le Restaurant offers seasonal a la carte menus serving simple, authentic cuisine in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Guests can also eat at other restaurants in the middle of the Domaine Chateau La Coste, including Tadao Ando, great for enjoying lunches right by the water’s edge, or Restaurant La Terrasse, an open-air café that’s perfect for families with live music playing during summer. There is also the option to dine at Restaurant Francis Mallman, showcasing a unique Argentinian way of cooking, with fish, meat and vegetables cooked in wood burning ovens, buried in ashes and served up in a rustic style for guests to savour.

Doing

There are several activities on offer at Villa La Coste, ranging from private yoga and Pilates lessons on-site, to nearby mountain biking, horse riding, tennis, and even hot-air ballooning. Le Spa displays seven treatment rooms, a Hammam, Dry Floating Bed, Vichy shower and an outdoor heated swimming pool to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Guests can also explore the Chateau La Coste Domain and walk through the olive groves and vineyards on a complimentary walking tour to discover art and architecture with pieces from famous artists including Frank Gehry, Tracey Emin and Ai WeiWie dotted around the grounds. They can also explore the Chais designed by Jean Nouvel, and can taste the organic wine range too.
