What we love
The 360-degree panorama from this Villa Castello′s pool and garden has to be seen to be believed! This feature is second only to the novelty of staying in a historic fortress - you truly feel you could have stepped back in time in the four-poster master bed.
Villa Castello is set within the walls of a medieval historic fortress, and next-door to the ruins of the Medieval castle which stands on a hilltop, at the heart of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, one of Tuscany’s largest centuries-old private estates, founded by Massimo and Chiara Ferrgamo.
Guests in Castello will enjoy its sumptuous interior, which reflects the building’s rich past. Two impressive original fireplaces have been carefully restored, and the elegant sleeping quarters - all with en-suite bathrooms - are spread across the third and second floors.
The panoramic outdoor pool and garden are especially unique features, with 360-degree views over the Estate’s private golf course and vineyards, and the Sienese landscape beyond.
For al fresco living, the pergola-shaped terrace dining area overlooks landscaped lawns and gardens. As with all villas on the Estate, the Riccardo Barthel-designed kitchen is pure Italian style combined with practical details to make cooking a pleasure. Personal chefs can be arranged for your stay if desired.
