What we love

The central location, coupled with the small, boutique feel throughout, make this hotel an excellent base for exploring all that Lisbon has to offer.

Valverde Hotel Lisbon

25 Rooms & Suites

Setting the scene

Located in the heart of Lisbon's high end Avenida da Liberdade, just a 10 minute walk from the city's Rossio Square, Valverde Hotel Lisbon is a small, luxury boutique hotel with real character. With just 25 rooms/suites, there's an intimate feel running throughout the hotel which extends to the quirky lounge bar, reading room and restaurant too. Sitio Valverde Restaurant serves up authentic Portuguese dishes throughout the day, with 18th century decor combined with modern, stylish furniture to bring the historic building right up to date. There's also an outdoor patio and garden area which makes the perfect place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon city centre.

Sleeping

There are six room categories at Valverde Hotel Lisbon, with three different types of suites and three different types of rooms to choose from. The Mini and Classic bedrooms are the smallest en-suite rooms in the hotel, complete with amenities including flat-screen TVs and coffee machines as well as balconies overlooking the city's rooftops and the hotel patio below, whilst the Deluxe rooms feature all the same amenities but overlook the Avenida da Liberdade instead. The Junior and Avenida Suites offer much more space and feature sitting areas and built in closets with views over to Avenida da Liberdade, whilst the flagship Valverde Suite is even larger and boasts stunning views over to Saint Jorge's Castle and Lisbon's iconic rooftops.

Eating

Sitio Restaurant, split into two separate parts, is the main restaurant on site at Valverde Hotel Lisbon, with both indoor and outdoor areas for guests to enjoy.  With it's tall ceilings and ancient decor, the restaurant feels like a step back in time to Old Lisbon, whilst the modern furniture and eclectic lighting brings it into the modern day too. Chef Carla Sousa has put together a signature menu with daily specials serving Portuguese cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Themed evening meals are a big part of Sitio Restaurant, with live Fado, Jazz and Bossa Nova music playing throughout the week. For something more relaxed, take advantage of the restaurant's daily afternoon tea service which offers decadent cakes, pastries, scones and savoury treats with a range of teas to choose from.
