What we love

Truly impressive and exclusive family resort with amazing sea views and close enough to Palma to explore this part of this beautiful island - but it was tempting not to leave as it had everything we needed.  Mardavall is everything a St Regis should be.

St Regis Mardavall, Puerto Portals

130 Rooms & Suites

Setting the scene

The southwest coast of Mallorca is home to some of the best beaches on the island, and it is here, surrounded by exquisite gardens, that, St Regis Mardavall is located.  Combining a stunning, peaceful beachfront location with convenient proximity to Palma and several other charming towns, ports, beaches, shopping (and fantastic restaurants) . The nearby exclusive marina, Puerto Portals, is just a short walk away and is one of our favourite places on the island.

Sleeping

St Regis Mardavall has 130 luxurious rooms to choose from, and a number of deluxe suites.  All of the rooms have a balcony or terrace on which to relax and enjoy the views, and all are furnished and equipped in true St Regis luxury style and taste. The suites all include a complimentary bespoke Butler service.

Eating

Dining at St Regis Mardavall offers a wealth of delicious choices. There are 2 restaurants and 3 bars on site. Es Fum boasts a well-deserved Michelin Star, offering innovative fine dining and beautiful sea views from the terrace.  Aqua Restaurant features a light and delicious mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner, as well as daily breakfast.  With occasional themed nights and a stunning garden setting, this offers a casual yet elegant dining at its best.   We especially loved Churchill's Lounge, which offers an exclusive selection of some of the world's finest cigars, along with a vast choice of whiskeys.  The most relaxed and informal venue is Pool Bar Sa Badia - the perfect place for something light to eat and a cold drink on a sunny day.  It's also worth noting that Puerto Portals, Palma, Andratx and Genova are all within striking distance and offer some of the best restaurants and sophisticated nightlife on the island.

Doing

The incredible gardens and pools here are truly impressive - as is the state-of-the-art Arabella Spa, and the fitness centre here is especially well equipped. Guests of St Regis Mardavall can also enjoy the nearby Arabella golf courses - Son Muntaner, Son Vida, Son Quint, and the 9-hole Son Quint Executive course. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service to all of the golf courses. The local town of Portal Nous is home to the Puerto Portals super-yacht marina, offering world-class people-watching, shopping and some of our favourite restaurants and bars on the island.  Mallorca is a beautiful island, with a myriad of charming villages, spectacular scenery and an impressive cultural and sporting heritage. The hotel will happily help you plan some day trips - horse-riding, hiking, boating - you can do as much or as little as you like here, and the stunning gardens and beach are the perfect place to relax and do precisely nothing.

Playing

This is a fabulous resort for children. The all-day Kids Club is a great facility for children aged between 3 and 12 years, staffed by a wonderful team and offering a full programme of activities.  Budding golfers (aged 7 - 13) can perfect their putting at the Golf Academy and children over 3 can take swimming lessons.  Organised excursions include Marineland, Palma-Aquarium.  There are two shaded kids pools and a well-equipped playground as well as a children's dining area - Brisas - which is exclusively for kids!
