The Property

This fabulous property, near to the lovely Andalucian village of Benahavis, provides a spacious, stylish and comfortable setting for family and group holidays and is available for holiday rental when not in use by the Goldsmith family, the Estate′s owners. As you would expect, it′s beautifully appointed and is in a truly spectacular location - very private, secluded and unspoilt, with fabulous views of the surrounding valley, but easily accessible to all that the surrounding area has to offer, and within walking distance of the beautiful village of Benahavis.

The original building, a historic Andalucian farmhouse has been beautifully converted into accommodation of an exceptionally high standard, beautifully decorated with Mallorcan textiles, Andalucian and Moorish antiques and original features. Elegant, relaxed and beautiful, this is a house to admire but to relax in.

There is a more recently built guest house in the grounds which is perfect for extra guests, or an extended family group. As well as providing flexible accommodation, the guest house can also be totally private, with its own swimming pool and terrace.

Throughout the property there are numerous shaded terraces for outside dining and for relaxing. Of the two swimming pools, the one below the main house is heated in the autumn, winter and spring. Between the main house and the guest house there is a spacious and very well equipped games room /TV room and behind the main house there is a tennis court with a shaded viewing area. There is a helicopter landing pad behind the tennis court.

The estate consists of several hundred hectares of completely private and totally unspoilt indigenous Iberian woodland, dissected by the Guadalmina River and a series of crystal clear springs and streams and incorporating a small organic farm and productive organic kitchen garden.

Living Space

The main house is centrally heated with air-conditioned bedrooms and furnished with Spanish antiques and Mallorcan fabrics. It has a principal drawing room, dining room, kitchen, two family TV/sitting rooms, Sky TV and wireless broadband, five double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a further double bedroom and single room with a shared bedroom.

The guesthouse is also centrally heated with air-conditioned bedrooms. It has its own kitchenette and has an additional three double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

The farm and the vegetable gardens provide home-grown organic meat, vegetables and fruit which are used daily by the full time cook.

If you wish to eat out, nearby Benahavis, lying close to the sea, features restaurants offering fish and seafood dishes as well as the "mountain food", Solamillo de Cerdo (pork fillet) for which people travel far and wide, suckling pig, roast lamb, oxtail and venison to name a few. Prices are extremely reasonable particularly compared to the coast and a good meal will not break the bank.
