Unique in its size and shape Desroches Island is easily one of the most beautiful islands in the Seychelles. Desroches Island Resort has 71 villa, suites and residences just a few steps from the warm waters of the west-facing beach. Furnished in a barefoot-chic style with exceptional attention to detail using only the most natural materials inspired by the sea and island; each offers privacy with its own tropical garden and verandah. For even more space, the two bedroom Desroches Suite or three, four and five bedroom Residence Villas offer a luxurious home away from home.
Desroches Island Resort offers a truly indulgent dining experience at the Claudine restaurant. Centrally located in the heart of the main resort space, with stunning views out over the Indian Ocean, it offers a subtle mix of internationally inspired dishes comprising of delicious fresh seafood and Creole cuisine. For a more relaxed option after a busy day exploring the island and the chance to feel the sand between your toes, why not enjoy a delightful lunch at the Lighthouse. Located right on the water's edge, the gentle breeze and warm island atmosphere will wash over you as you savour some of their culinary dishes.
On Desroches Island Resort, you will never be short of things to do. Leisurely explore the island by bicycle (complimentary for all guests including children) - the chefs will even prepare a lunch picnic for you. There's also an air-conditioned gymnasium featuring all the latest equipment - watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean and the crystal clear waters while you get fit! Other water sports and activities available on the island include tennis (on two flood-lit courts), snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaks and pedalos. For some real excitement, the specialist water sports centre can arrange fishing excursions to try your hand at deep sea fishing for some marlin, sailfish or record breaking wahoos and tuna! To soothe away those tired muscles after a busy day, why not book in to the exhilarating Escape Spa and chose between their many traditional Asian massages and full body treatments.
Desroches Island Resort provide an exciting children's club called Kid's Haven for children aged between four and twelve years of age. A range of fun yet educational activities available include conservation walks, yoga classes, tortoise feeding, kayaking and snorkelling.
Guests arrive into Desroches by private charter, connecting from Mahe International Airport. The flight is 45 minutes. Due to the size of the aircraft guests need to keep luggage to 15kg per person. Whilst on Desroches all you will really need is your swimwear, a pair of flip flops and your sunglasses, so packing light should be a breeze!
