What we love
The immense scale and luxury of the Palais Namaskar is breath-taking. This hotel screams its ability to help you relax, rejuvenate and energise from every room, pool, restaurant, yoga class and spa treatment.
Setting the scene
Designed with a balance of the elements in mind, the twelve acres of gardens entwined with pools and water features make for a tranquil and elegant setting for this palatial hotel. At the core of this hotel is the concept of earth and wellbeing but don't panic if that sounds all a bit new age, this is not a hippy camp, the Palais Namaskar is in every way a luxury retreat for the senses, for the mind and for the body.
The feng sui influences of the resort carry through to the accommodation with the emphasis here on harmony and wellbeing. There is a choice of room, suite, villa or your very own palace, all spaciously appointed and designed with privacy in mind, most with outdoor baths and many with their own pool. The terraces are huge, providing views over the gardens, the communal water feature or the beautiful main swimming pool. With a butler service available in the villas and the palaces, this is stunningly modern and provides wonderfully comfortable living in the desert.
The restaurants at Namaskar continue the themes of wellbeing, relaxation and luxury offering a wealth of choice of flavours and cuisines. All 3 restaurants take advantage of the hotel's own gardens where many of the ingredients are home grown whilst sourcing others from local producers. Le Namaska combines the refinement of French cuisine with Moroccan flavours to produce inventive and delicious dishes. With views over the gardens and pool, Le Namaska's terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the warm summer evenings. Le Sawadee proffers an authentic Thai menu in the heart of Morocco. Delicate flavours and spices of the Orient are masterfully presented in a menu of favourite Thai dishes. For lunch try La Table d'Antoine, more casual dining by the pool. Serving crisp salads, pastas and Mediterranean tarts, this is simple food very well done. Espace T is the perfect place to relax anytime of day and enjoy a traditional mint tea, a patisserie or light snack, whilst enjoying the views over the gardens. For your evening cocktails, soak up the sunset light with a view of the Atlas Mountains at the roof top No Mad Bar and enjoy music into the night provided by the resident DJ.
There are many swimming pools at the Palais Namaskar and lots of areas to relax and unwind, both indoor and outdoor. Holistic wellness is taken seriously here and the fitness centre and spa are integral to the hotel. There is a team of sports professionals to guide you through the gym equipment, work out a fitness plan for you and help you perform to your full potential. If all that sounds a bit intense, maybe you'll be tempted by the Spa Namaskar, a calming retreat with its own range of signature treatments as well as traditional massages and therapies. To get out and about to see Morocco, the hotel is able to arrange a dizzying array of activities and tours from private shopping trips to hot air balloon rides, desert dining experiences to quad biking through the dunes. You can make your stay here as adventurous or as relaxed as your heart desires.
The Palais Namaskar welcomes families but this hotel is better suited for children that are happy making their own entertainment as there are no kids clubs or specific activities for children at the hotel. The nearby Oasiria water park is a fun filled day for families with waterslides and wave pool or the Terres D'Amanar resort offers archery, horse riding and zip wires. More traditional to Morocco, take a children on a camel ride!
The Palais Namaskar is located 30 minutes drive from Marrakesh Airport and the Medina, the centre of the old city of Marrakesh. Complimentary transfers are available to guests for both the airport and the Medina. A private jet service can be booked for the 30 minute flight from Casablanca to Marrakesh.
