What we love
A truly unique and remote retreat designed to cleans the mind and ease soul. You will leave the stunning resort thoroughly invigorated and enjoy a wholly unique and natural experience in this beautifully endless expanse.
Setting the scene
Perched in the fabulous ground within the Big Sur mountainous range, this resort really is a private haven of peacefulness. The resort sits on roaring red rocky mountains and huge ocean immensity and is has a wow factor like no other.
There are 39 rustic, understated yet highly deluxe rooms that parade ocean and mountain views from all angles. The rooms mirror the colour outside the windows and a friendly and cosy feel sits among luxury and class. The private houses have wooden floors and features, a stone feel and state of the art architecture. There is ample living space, huge terracing and a private pool. The outlook is obviously, divine. Bear in mind the unusual move of no TV's in any of the rooms to further push the resorts desire to stay at one with yourself and nature.
At Sierra Marr, Executive Chef John Cox creates a menu of distinction, it is wholly unusual and bold but equally fantastic and skillful. Dine on the cliff top looking all around the exceptional creation. The restaurant is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner and use it as your dining base, if however you wish for a change, the eateries in the area are of variety and quality.
There is a multitude of treatment rooms and spa treatments available in a host of beautiful rooms and areas, working in line with hotels wellness philosophy, also, there is no better place worldwide to meditate and do yoga. The area of Big Sur offers too much to mention, although we picked out our favourite 3: Point Sur Lighthouse surveys its panorama, The Esalen Institute is self improvement school in perfect surroundings, Bixby Bridge is an icon in itself and to leave without a photo would be catastrophic!
Under 18s are not permitted to stay at the resort. The resort is ideal for couples who strive to reinvigorate and who seek privacy. The Private Houses are ideal for bigger groups of friends wanting a perfect relaxing retreat.
Monterey Airport is a 45 minute drive.
