Even driving along the twisting cliff road, with its expansive views out across the sea, is an experience in itself. There is no shortage of places to visit. Sorrento, described as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, is a popular starting point and a worthwhile destination in its own right. Heading up the coast, Positano is instantly recognisable – steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes make this a great place to explore. And leave time for a trip to the iconic city of Naples, which also offers a convenient point from which to reach Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius.
