One of my absolute favourite foods on the planet is without a doubt Lobster, so when I heard that this weekend will see the island of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands host its first-ever Lobster Festival I was salivating at the thought!
It turns out that the waters surrounding the stunning island of Anegada are filled with colourful crustaceans known as the spiny lobster, which quite frankly look as beautiful as they taste!
There will be eight participating restaurants including; Cow Wreck Beach Bar, Big Bamboo, Anegada Beach Club, Flash of Beauty, Anegada Reef Hotel, Potter’s By the Sea, Lobster Trap and Whistling Pine.
Each restaurant will be serving their lobster in a variety of different ways such as; grilled, jerked, curried, ceviche, broiled, and stewed, along with other delicious seafood and Caribbean inspired dishes. Of course this is also The Caribbean so there will be plenty of music, dancing and rum to help turn it into a (lobster) cracking party!
The first annual Anegada Lobster Festival starts on November 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and runs until December 1st, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Contact an OS Private Travel Consultant today for further details on both the festival and vacations in the British Virgin Islands.
