Who says that just because you have kids (of whatever age!), you have to miss out on the Ibiza vibe and the chance to party?! Ibiza is a wonderfully family friendly island - with safe, sandy Blue-Flag beaches with shallow sea and lifeguards, to the locals who adore children, it's the perfect place to take babies, children and even teenagers. However, even when you're travelling with your family the great news is that you can still join in with what makes Ibiza, well, Ibiza!
The centre of the party scene in Ibiza, from day-long beach parties and live DJs at cocktail hour to those chilled-out sunrises, revolves around beach clubs, with places like Cafe Mambo and Blue Marlin becoming household names over the last few years. However, beach clubs - yes, even those well known ones, are surprising family friendly, and welcome children (and adults of all ages - not just teenagers and clubbers) with open arms.
The surprisingly laid back, friendly and unpretentious atmosphere in many beach clubs provides the perfect setting for a day on the beach.
The convenience of shady areas, clean sand and comfortable sunbeds makes life easier for parents - and the situation right on the beach means that parents can relax and enjoy listening to a DJ (and maybe even enjoying a cocktail….) whilst watching children make the perfect sand castle!
Most beach clubs offer activities for children, specific children's areas and brilliantly executed children's' menus. Some of our favourites are El Chiringuito in Es Cavallet where children's activities change daily, the very cool Pura Vida in Niu Blau where there is a fabulous children's entertainment programme on Fridays, and the famous Jockey Club located on Salinas beach - one of the best beaches on the island for children - we especially recommend arriving here from 9am for breakfast on the beach whilst listening to a chilled-out Ibiza DJ whilst the children play on the sand… you're never too young to party the Ibiza way!
Ibiza - never too young to party!
