Earlier this year I had the opportunity to visit Sandy Lane with one of our guests personal assistants during a whistle stop tour of the Caribbean. Our mission; to find 'the perfect' venue for his 40th birthday party for himself and around 70 guests.
Anyone that has visited Sandy Lane in the last couple of years will know of its exacting service delivered with professional yet relaxed Bajan warmth - everyone you meet comes with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. Resident Manager, Mario explained to us that this 'warmth' and 'personality' was something that they have worked really hard on over the last couple of years….whilst I haven't experienced the Sandy Lane of previous years, what they are doing today seems to be working!
The rooms and suites at Sandy Lane all offer opulent space and comfort, with great views of the ocean and beach front. The pink and gold accents in the rooms may not be to everyone's taste and the (over) use of marble in the bathrooms may be too much for some, but in all, I find would find it hard believe that any guests would not to be able to relax and unwind here.
So…party! The opportunities here are endless. Within a very short space of time we had explored options such as a relaxed beach party and dinner on the shore, themed cocktail party around the pool with live entertainment and a gala dinner, fireworks and headline act at the Clubhouse where guests would be able to party away to the small hours. The options here are pretty endless and the events management team are eager and excited to make things unique and special. This is where celebrities and VIP's choose to celebrate parties and I can see why - they just do it right.
