5 stars and 5 reasons to stay at The Chedi Muscat!

Envisage elegance infused with the exotic, symmetry with unending style, and privacy with personalised service. For a holiday with every whim catered for, spacious living and food that will delight, this hotel offers it all. Fly to Oman and know true relaxation with a stunning beach on your doorstep and the excitement of Middle Eastern culture to enchant.

With a swift flight of 7 hours and therefore minimal jet lag you can arrive in a completely different culture and terrain, without any extra bother that can come with exotic locations. What stands out in Oman is that they always seem incredibly proud of their heritage and their way of life and this is celebrated rather than aiming to follow the Western style route, which can be seen in countries like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The Chedi’s location allows for breakfast on pristine beaches before whizzing up into the mountains in a few hours for breathtaking views and an overnight stay, followed by an adventure into the desert before heading back to the beach again. Given these possibilities we would recommend a longer trip of just over a week to truly absorb all the goodness that this startling destination has to offer.

The Property:

Being one of GHM Hotels, think quality with spacious and impressive design. Given the size of the hotel, one might be inclined to imagine it feeling slightly overcrowded when at capacity but this is not the case, there is so much space to just ‘be’ and not feel the presence of other guests. Being a GHM hotel the whole hotel is based on beautiful symmetry, clean lines and chic designs, the 103m long pool is a great example of this. With so many different areas and spaces this hotel can seamlessly cater for business travellers, honeymooners and families at the same time - all parties feeling welcomed and at ease.

The Chedi offers something for everyone when it comes to their outrageously delicious food, for example there are six restaurants on site with a range of cuisines and atmospheres spanning from the Mediterranean and the Middle East to Southeast Asia and India. They have a fine dining restaurant, award winning beach restaurant and host of other bars and restaurants. A word of warning: do not miss out on their breakfasts! Breakfast at The Chedi is out of this world; aim to have breakfast looking out on the beach at least once!

Wellness & Gym:

If you plan to make your holiday about health and wellbeing as well as sheer luxury, the only way to marry the two together is to complete your workout in the most lavish of gyms the world has ever seen. Step into The Chedi’s gym. Imagine the most up to date equipment, all the mod cons and that incredible view of the beach and calm sea beyond. What a way to work out! Once the work out has been done and dusted, or you are simply in need of some pampering, the spa is also of a similar standard, with an extensive range of treatments and the most luxurious area to unwind and relax in- and that’s before you've even had a massage! We recommend the synonymous Chedi Jade Massage, where you will have two therapists in synchronised movements working their magic, incorporating a variety of massage techniques including Shiatsu, Balinese and Thai to name but a few!

We realise that this might be quite an obvious point, particularly when discussing a 5* resort, but when you stay at The Chedi you will feel entirely welcomed and looked after without ever feeling that the staff are intrusive or pushy. The Chedi has included the quintessential Omani calm and dignified approach to service, nothing is too much trouble and there’s always a smile with any reply. This can sometimes not be as evident in Omani hospitality and therefore we thought it was worth mentioning. On arrival at The Chedi all your cares and concerns will gently melt away as you sink into the charm and luxury of this magnificent hotel.
