Celebrating its 25th anniversary with a year-long calendar of special events and cultural experiences to mark this milestone, this is the perfect opportunity to visit this superb resort. Winners of numerous awards and ranked the ‘Best Hotel in Indonesia’ by Conde Naste you can be confident your stay will be an incredible one.

Amankila – meaning “peaceful hill” – overlooks the Lombok Strait from a cliff-edge setting. The resort is located near the village of Manggis in east Bali. It is within easy reach of Denpasar airport so your travel time is kept to a minimum.

Accommodation

Guests can choose from a range of suites, all of which are nestled on a verdant hillside overlooking the waters of the Lombok Strait and a private beach. Their elevated position maximises the sea views. Guests access the suites down meandering walkways set amidst frangipani and bougainvillea trees. With lines that reflect their east Bali surroundings, the architecture is inspired by the royal water palace of Ujung near Amlapura.

Whilst all suites are incredibly luxurious, the pinnacle of comfort is reached in the Amankila Suite which overlooks the beach and Amuk Bay. At 660 square metres you won't be short of space in this two bedroom suite. Enjoy your own terrace and aquamarine-tiled pool whilst your private butler is available at all hours to assist with your every request.

Dining & Experiences

Amankila’s ocean-view restaurant sources the finest local ingredients including free range duck reared at the resort's own farm, herbs grown in Amankila’s own gardens and vegetables and exotic fruits grown in the rich volcanic soil spread beneath Mt Agung. Expect contemporary dishes that will tantalise your taste buds. Prior to dinner enjoy a sundowner beside the tiered main pool, including Mangosteen cocktails and homemade ginger beer which is refreshingly cool.

When you are not relaxing in your suite or enjoying the exquisite cuisine you will be able to explore the area. Head to the Beach Club to enjoy some of the world’s best surfing, and watersports including scuba diving, kayaking and snorkelling. Immerse yourself in the history with a visit to two of the island’s most important temples – Luhur Lempuyang and Besakih and take a private tour of the Romanesque royal palace, Ujung.

Amanoi, Vinh Hy Bay, Vietnam

 
Amanoi is a meditative retreat on the coast of Nui Chua National Park, one of Vietnam’s largest natural conservation sites. Hugged by rolling, evergreen-covered hills, the resort overlooks the East Sea and pristine Vinh Hy Bay. Away from the beach, take a guided tour across some of Nui Chua National Park’s 29,000 hectares which is home to thousands of plant species and hundreds of types of mammals, or explore the granite rock formations and secret inlets of the jagged coast by kayak.

Amanzoe, Peloponnese Peninsula, Greece

Dining & Experiences

Amanzoe places real emphasis on serving simple flavours in expertly prepared dishes. Leave time to take a water taxi to the car-free island of Spetses where you can explore in a horse drawn carriage or head out to the quaint villages and pine forests on scooter. Back on the mainland there is a wealth of architectural sites to visit, including the sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus.

Amanpulo, Pamalican Island, Philippines

Located within the peaceful tree canopy of Pamalican Island or set along the beachfront, Amanpulo’s Casitas and Villas offer you the opportunity to relax within the natural surroundings of sun, sand and sea. Dining & Experiences

Locally caught seafood and island grown vegetables take centre stage on Amanpulo’s menu. Choose to dine at the Clubhouse restaurant and Beach Club or allow yourself to be treated to a private beach barbeque. Dishes can even centre around ingredients that you pick from the resort's organic kitchen garden. For a more adventurous dining experience, book supper on the resort’s bamboo platform raft. With its thatched roof, recliners and on-board bar it is the perfect place to lounge, snorkel and enjoy the sea. And when ready, you will be served a sumptuous on-board picnic or barbeque.

When you aren't relaxing Amanpulo provides its guests with plenty of opportunities to enjoy some water based activities. From sailing or scuba diving, windsurfing or simply frolicking in the water, there is something for everyone. The clear, warm waters refresh and invigorate and are perfect for most water sports. Divers will love the clear visibility and instructors can assist divers of all abilities, including complete beginners.
