Amankila – meaning “peaceful hill” – overlooks the Lombok Strait from a cliff-edge setting. The resort is located near the village of Manggis in east Bali. It is within easy reach of Denpasar airport so your travel time is kept to a minimum.
Guests can choose from a range of suites, all of which are nestled on a verdant hillside overlooking the waters of the Lombok Strait and a private beach. Their elevated position maximises the sea views. Guests access the suites down meandering walkways set amidst frangipani and bougainvillea trees. With lines that reflect their east Bali surroundings, the architecture is inspired by the royal water palace of Ujung near Amlapura.

Amankila’s ocean-view restaurant sources the finest local ingredients including free range duck reared at the resort's own farm, herbs grown in Amankila’s own gardens and vegetables and exotic fruits grown in the rich volcanic soil spread beneath Mt Agung.
